Please read this very carefully. This will affect all of us in one way or another.
In January, the SRAR will be changing its MLS system from SoCalMLS/Tempo to the Matrix system. The contract between SRAR and SoCalMLS came due in December; and the fees were going to increase quite steeply. The Board of Directors researched many different systems and chose the Matrix system, which is delivered by CRMLS. The MLS fees will actually decrease in the spring of 2011. I went to a meeting for brokers and managers which demonstrated the system. It is very intuitive and has some very familiar features as compared to the old CrisNet system.
Here are just a few of the great features of the Matrix system:

1.) Still a part of the CARETS system. So data will be shared with CARETS members such as Ventura, CLAW, etc.
2.) Wyldfyre will still be in effect.
3.) It is browser INDEPENDENT so it can be used on Macs and other Apple products.
4.) It will now separate condos and townhomes for easier searches.
5.) When you email listings to your clients, they receive the information as a one-liner. They may CHOOSE which client report to use.
6.) The mapping is spectacular. You can choose numerous areas by outlining in circles, squares, polygons etc. You can also delete a portion of the search area using circles etc. within the chosen area. You may also route properties and get directions, as well as change the route.
7.) There is a speedbar feature which uses a string search the way the old CrisNet did.
8.) And the "bees knees"….the add/edit part of the program RESIZES YOUR PICTURES FOR YOU. I'm getting farklempt!!!!!!!
9.) You will login to Matrix by going to www.srar.com and clicking on "Log On To Matrix" USING THE SAME LOGIN AS TEMPO.
10.) And other features too numerous to mention.
