How to use C.A.R.'s free Digital Ink

Yesterday we showed you how you can use an I-pad in your business to write up offers, take listings and everything in between.  Then we sent out an e-mail showing people what we had created here in this blog.  A lot of questions came back about DocuSign vs. Digital Ink.

To learn more about DocuSign go here: What's up with DocuSign.   In a nutshell people find DocuSign easy to use and it's been approved by NAR.   The cost starts at $14.99 a month.

Now...Digital Ink.   This software provides electronic signatures for free to C.A.R. members.  But some Realtors have said it's not as easy to use as DocuSign.  But other agents in our office have used Digital Ink and they love it.  Josh Brenner, of our Woodland Hills office, just used Digital Ink on a deal and he says he'll never go back to the "old way" again.

So which way is better?  That's up to you, but for the moment it seem more and more people are starting to use the free Digital Ink service from CAR and they seem mostly pleased with it's easy of use.  Our Escrow company, Capitol Hill Escrow, is just fine with agents using any form of electronic signatures.  However as Victor from Capitol Hill states, "Some lenders still need actual signatures on paperwork, but as time goes on, I imagine that they'll learn to adopt to electronic signatures."
